Once you become an advisor, you’ll have a seat in the healthcare committee. Upon reaching this position, you’ll be given a number of tasks that are quite challenging but also fulfilling. As an advisor, here are the things you’ll need to work on:

Studying the ins and outs of the entire healthcare system of Canada

Doing research and creating studies related to various healthcare topics that involve patients and the system

Engaging with patients and listening to their pain points

Cooperating with advisors from various sectors of the healthcare industry to push change

As an advisor, you will not only need project management skills, but you’ll also need a high level of leadership and communication skills. In our committee, the aim is to learn as much about healthcare and healthcare management from each experience that we go through together. It is only from cooperation that we can induce improvements to the overall healthcare system of the country.
